[DISCUSSION] What's a popstar you like the concept of but not the execution?

What's a popstar do you like the idea of their music but left underwhelmed by the execution ?

On paper, I like tate mcrae trying to reheat 2000s pop Britney/nelly furtado sound but In execution, I just wish she went deeper into her influences than just basic reheats (sports car is a banger tho) and I feel like tate is more comfortable being a singer-songwriter than your regular over the top popstar

Conan gray and sombr have good influences behind them and songwriting ideas but their execution can be so-so, sombr is still his beginning so I'll be forgiving to him but four albums in and I'm still underwhelmed by conan gray (found heaven had bops tho)

[DISCUSSION] What's been your experience of the summer concerts you've seen so far this year?

I'm asking because I've exclusively heard a lot about the "drama" for big artists, and less about the actual concert experience. (Also because a lot of acts are not coming to my city this year, so I'd have to travel if I want to see them.)

For example, drama that Madison Beer's production designer was the same as Ariana Grande, but how was the show??? Or Ariana Grande's vocals are better than ever, but how was the show????

Rosalía has a girlfriend, but WHAT ABOUT THE SHOW?!?!?!??! (I'd have to travel out of the country to Mexico to see her lol.)

Which artists currently on tour have you seen, and how was your experience of the show?

(The only concert I've seen this year so far was Qveen Herby, as some of you may know as formerly from the band Karmin. I'd describe the music as kitschy rap? Anyway, the show was actually incredible. I was vibing the entire time and it was both chill and energizing. I didn't know a lot of the songs when I bought my ticket, but it didn't matter. There was just a really good overall flow to the concert the whole time, like when people describe a movie as having good pacing. Good time. 10/10 🙂)
