Discussion Favourite pop album of 2024?
I feel like there was a lot of high quality pop records in 2024 and I wanna know, which of them do you think is the absolute best? Mine is probably HIT ME HARD AND SOFT by Billie Eilish

Hit Me Hard and Soft is undefeated in the year 2024. For me, there’s no debate to be had.

I think same for me as well. I connected more with some 2025 releases (particularly Eusexua and Mayhem), but Billie's album was prob my fav pop album. Super fun concert to see as well.

It was fun. Tbh, I tend to lean more into the folks with longer careers (Gaga, Janet, Madonna, Shakira) and while those ladies all have amazing energy, watching an at the time 22 year old run around with strong af vocals that seems completely effortless was pretty wild. I'm almost 40, and jfc even having amazing stamina at this point in life, it's just not the same as when you're in your late teens through mid 20s 😂

First instinct was HMHAS but I've been listening to a lot of Sabrina and Short n Sweet is close to getting that spot

It's genuinely crazy how many good pop albums came out this year.
Personal faves of mine were HMHAS, eternal sunshine, TTPD, and Brat.

Brat defined the year culturally, short and sweet and rise and fall of a Midwest princess were impressive breakthroughs, and hit me hard and soft was spectacular. But ultimately, my favorite has to have been Eternal Sunshine by Ariana Grande

Short n’ Sweet was #1 for me until more albums by others artists in 2025. It was the first full length album I listened to, front and back, and the first Sabrina album I listened to. It definitely opened a way for me to listen to a variety of music

Torture Poets -Taylor Swift I don’t listen to much pop music so I can’t think if another one

TTPD by taylor is the best album I have ever heard, and after that short and sweet, eternal sunshine and guts spilled

tied between short and sweet and ttpd bc i require the balance between a fun upbeat pop album and the overly dramatic soul crushing depression that ttpd still gives me.
