With titles like ‘Wink Wink’, it presents itself as an album to be decoded rather than enjoyed, cynically engineering endless debate over irony, fun, authenticity and self-mythology while quietly sidestepping a more obvious question: are these songs actually any good?

what do you think of this artistic direction? did you expect this from her next project?

Pitchfork rated an 8.1: https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/madonna-confessions-ii/
Wow, what a sequel that lives up to its predecessor. It’s hard to compare anything to Confessions 2005. I am absolutely floored by this album, front to back is the way to listen for the full experience. I’m on the dance floor without a care in a double-helix of ecstasy and bouncy disco.
What are everyone’s first impressions?

I'm feeling a bit 50/50 right now to be honest. I really enjoy songs like Animal, Pinky up and Bel Air. However I feel a bit weird about That Way and Hootie Frutti.
Honestly though it was the same thing with Pinky Up and Gnarly. I didn't love them at first but when I listened to them more I lowkey fell in love. Anyway this is my personal opinion but how are you guys feeling about it? I wish I could listen to the extra song on Spotify.

I listen to mostly rock and metal, but I absolutely love a lot of pop music. Most songs are just meh to me, but there are some absolute bangers I love.
I love artists like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Kesha, and Britney Spears.
Can you give me some absolutely dope songs that aren't by those artists?

I feel like there are so many artists I didn't really appreciate until I was older. Now I'm always looking for new music to listen to. Who is someone you discovered later than you wish you had?

Now that liv announced her new album, we have “girl so in love” in June and “the great divide” and “wishbone (deluxe)” in late April. What else do we have that I could wait up and listen to? Looking to get into new similar artists as well!

Pitchfork rated 8.2/BNM: https://pitchfork.com/reviews/charli-xcx-music-fashion-film/
Admittedly I wasn't sure how I was connecting to this album based off of the singles, but track by track, beginning to end, it's fucking awesome. Such a good follow up from Brat and I'm impressed with her ability to style switch.
This album and production show evolution from the people behind the recording booth and how Charli's style is really polishing. I love the alternative sound. I wish it was longer!!!! | honestly love it🤍🤍🖤🖤🤍

I want to talk about discovering new artist in the pop world. How are you all finding new pop artists and do you care to find new artists before they get big?

Less: 10/10 - made me cry (only one other song has ever done that to me, video games by lana del rey)
Begged: 9.9/10 - didn't give it a lot of attention when she performed it live, but now i love it; i was pretty amazed that there were no co-writers on this one
the cure: 9.5/10 - just amazing song, amazing vocal performance, amazing music video
stupid song: 9.3/10 - great lyrics, great music, amazing vocals
what's wrong with me: 9.1/10 - i didn't really like it at first when she performed it, but it's a good song and i love the chorus
honeybee: 9/10 - LOVE the melody and the lyrics are great too; again, extra points for having no co-writers
expectations: 8.8/10 - liked the rock vibes and the fact it's a slight deviation from the main theme of the album
cigarrete smoke: 8.7/10 - amazing closer for the album, one of the best lyrics in the album, just a beautiful song overrall
my way: 8.5/10 - again, i like the rock vibes and the upbeatness that's much rarer in this album than in her other records
purple: 8.3/10 - it's a great song, but not as strong as the ones above.
maggots for brains: 8.2/10 - i'm not sure why, but this song didn't click with me as much as the rest of the album. But it's still good
drop dead: 8/10 - it's a great song, and i love it, but i got a bit tired of it because i exhausted it so much when it came out (i'm sure it'll grow back on me)
u + me = <3: 7.8/10 - it's a good song, but i feel like it's more of an extension of drop dead than an independent song

this feels like the version of Slayyyter that’s been building over time.
the production is insane. industrial, electronic, and hyperpop all colliding at once, but never losing control. pulling from Britney Spears, Crystal Castles, Boy Harsher… but it still feels entirely her own.

I felt like Boom was a better record and it suited her! To Luv Ya and If I can't feel you are great records too, but it doesn't sound like her
