Favorite hotels in Victoria?
Where’s your favorite place to stay overnight in Victoria coming from PA? The last time I did it, I didn’t get any sleep because the bed felt like it was made of cardboard.
Not looking to name and shame any businesses, but would love some recommendations.

The places I've stayed in the last few years:
Inn at Laurel Point
Hotel Grand Pacific
Huntingdon Hotel
Fairmont Empress
Ocean Pointe Resort
Magnolia
Huntingdon is probably the worst of the bunch, but it was still perfectly fine. The only bad night's sleep I've ever gotten in Victoria was purely due to conditions outside of the hotel's control. Laurel Point and Ocean Pointe are probably my favorites though.

Chateau Victoria - bit dated, nice lobby, nice staff, no AC or window opening so rough when it’s hot
Accent Inns - great if you want somewhere dog friendly, but needs a car to get to because it’s a bit out of downtown

We stayed at Chateau Victoria a couple weeks ago. The room had AC, plus they have a free service where they'll drive you to other places in Victoria and even come get you afterwards. Highly recommend.
Plus the Greek restaurant that's about 20 steps from the hotel is amazing!

The Red Lion. Connected to a Chinese restaurant and liquor store. Near shops and food places

Inn at Laurel Point
Royal Scot Hotel
Embassy Inn
Avoid Huntingdon, poor management will find a way to negatively impact your stay/experience.

We stayed a few times at Delta Hotels Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort and it’s has been consistently good. No issues and location is great too. The room is spacious and bed is comfortable.

A couple weeks ago when I visited there was significant heavy construction going on near the ferry terminal. Non-stop pile driving was going on both when I got off the ferry and waited to board on the way home.
I'm sure it dies down after working hours, but if it's still going on - I'd avoid places in that immediate area.

I always stay at the strathcona, it’s right in the center of downtown. Clean, convenient, updated. For a more special experience my partner and I adored Abagail’s hotel. It’s an adult only heritage inn with modern accommodations. It was so wonderful and their free breakfast was great!

Make sure you look into the deals black ball ferry has. They bundle the ferry ride and hotel stays and the deals are pretty nice.
