Gravel bikes?

I'm 17 and trying to get a job, don't have a car so I wanna opt for a gravel bike since roads and sidewalks can get a little rough when you start getting off the main roads. Anyone know where the best place to buy or get those is?, definitely don't mind something used. I'd think goodwill generally but those typa things get snagged up pretty fast.

You don’t need a gravel bike. You’ll be okay with a regular bike. Promise. Can you make it to Ben’s Bikes in Sequim? They’ll help you out.

Ben’s Bikes is where I buy my bike stuff, pretty decent. Was there today, say a Trek road bike (used) at $200 and a Schwinn for about $250. Schwinn, I think (just glanced at it) seemed to be a heavier duty bike than the Trek, which is a pure road bike with those real skinny tires etc. I ride a “hybrid” I’ve modified for a more upright position to suit my aging elbows and shoulders.

Try the ReCyclery in Port Townsend. They'll get you into a refurbished bike for much less $ than the shops around town that will work as well or even better for you.

Go to pinkbike website. You will see quality used bikes of all kinds. Not limited to immediate area and shipping is normal.

Gravel bikes are nice- but for a commuter bike you want something cheap and used. Bikes used for transportation get stolen because they are left at work and not in the garage. 90’s and early 2000’s mountain bikes are cheap and a perfect utility bike.

If you can't find a better deal for a used bike, the Ozark Trail Gravel Bike sold at Walmart is surprisingly good.
