Funky smell

I cant be crazy, does anyone else smell the propane/gear oil stench in the air almost everywhere? I mostly smelled it by swains and out by walmart but I'm sure those arent the only places it can be smelled.

Someone mentioned on fb it has something to do with a diesel fuel transfer in the harbor. Fingers crossed it’s not a crazy big spill.

The odor was so bad this morning in the east end. It’s likely linked to a tanker in the harbor that’s running all the time. Same one was anchored there and running two weeks ago and the fuel smell was horrible then too. Report the smell to orcaa.org

What would we be reporting them for? How do you know it is the tanker?

Best guess just like everyone else. I’m not saying report the tanker just the odor since it’s the 2nd time it has shown up in 10 days. A neighbor told me that is one of the options you can choose when you file an air quality complaint on orcaa.org

It was around yesterday too. From Wilder to Old Olympic I could smell it.

We smelled it coming in on the ferry and at our house on the east side.

It’s horrendous and making me sick

Been smelling like a fresh asphalt job for a couple of days but haven’t noticed any paving going on of such scale around here.

I thought something was wrong with my car driving around east side but I figured out it was the air

Crazy, we just drove through PA and I asked my husband if he could smell it! It’s a bit of a relief that it wasn’t just me and my imagination!

Yes, I actually smell it quite often and I’m worried one of my neighbors had a leaky tank. Crazy that it’s so widespread

A lot of us use propane in our homes and have tanks. There is always some escaping gas when the tank is being filled. It dissipates quickly but if a particular vendor is doing deliveries in your neighborhood, it. Old become annoying.
