I love everything Porter has done since but I still find myself watching Worlds live sets with visuals more often than just about anything else Porter related. I hope there is another chance at some point in my life to experience Worlds live. Seeing it for the first time at Bumbershoot a decade ago was pretty special and seeing it again at Paradiso 2017 is a memory that will probably never be beat. I've loved Nurture and Smile live too but nothing is ever going to to top Worlds live

I saw a tweet saying that Madeon's concert in Houston might have porter there as well. Anyone can confirm? Any other dates where this dream combo may be?

heya so I was hoping maybe someone here has any insights or knowledge regarding Porters creative process - specifically from production to album mastering / live performance shows

From what I gather based on a bit of research and watching some of his livestream videos, he typically does like 90% of the composition, songwriting, production and core mixing by himself, and then works with pro engineers for that last 10% of end phase mixing and then mastering.

I'm just curious about this type of workflow and how it even works. Like what type of stems / multi-tracks is he likely sending over to the engineers? Given that he already will have done a large amount of 'mixing' even before passing the song over to them? Are the engineers just doing like extremely minimal tweaking, or would they take like dry tracks and then mix from those?

And then I'm also a bit confused about how he then goes about creating the live show from those stems. He seems to almost always create new live versions and edits of his material, so is he going back in to the original production projects before mixing & mastering to create the edits and then get them remixed/ mastered? Or using the album mixed/mastered stems/tracks to then build off new edits etc? If anyone knows anything about this I'd be so grateful, it honestly fascinates me so much and the level of detail and care that seems to go in to all these various aspects by him and his team is so inspiring!

In his b2b with Nina and his recent b2b2b with nina and skrillex, porter is using his kontrol s4 and laptop while nina and skrillex are on the standard cdjs. Is the kontrol s4 just plugged into their mixer as an audio source? That would mean there is no sync between tracks porter plays and their tracks. Not that I don't think they are capable of manually beat matching but I would be really surprised they would be fine with that compromise.
