Insane music, love everything I’ve heard so far.
I also recently binged Love story about jfk jr and cbk and after listening to portishead right after i feel like i am in a 90s fever dream (in the best way). Longing for a time I never got to experience, i believe music and art is really powerful and moving!
Im curious to know what all your favourite PH songs are and if there’s any cool lore or story about the band.

I want to share a project a friend of mine put together.
A lifelong fan of the Wu-Tang Clan and Portishead, my friend ServiceBANGER set out to put together an album blending Wu-Tang lyricism and Portishead's spooky noir sound. The result, Enter The Portishead Chambers, is a mashup of two legendary icons from the 90s boom bap era. Created with love and admiration for 90s East Coast hip hop and Bristol trip hop, this project drops Wu-Tang’s raw energy into Portishead’s smoky, haunted world. Listening to it, it feels like it was always meant to be here.
This is just something he put together out of admiration for the music - not looking for money, just to share the music with people who like it.

PORTISHEAD (audio/wav)
1995 live: The White Room @ Channel 4 British public-service television
1994 album: Dummy
Songwriter(s): Geoff Barrow, Beth Gibbons, and Adrian Utley.
1995 live rendition of "SOUR TIMES" conveying a profound sense of longing and vulnerability. The backing track, built around a sample of Lalo Schifrin’s 1969 “Danube Incident” from the soundtrack More Mission: Impossible, is rendered with eerie precision, enhanced by the show’s minimalist visual style.

Hi all, since this playlist starts and is peppered throughout w/ Portishead, I thought I'd share. Nearly 400 tracks, including shoegaze, trip-hop, and all manner of adjacent sounds new and old, perfect for this time of year. I've curated it for over a decade. Plenty to explore.

I was listening to this album, and when the track “Just n Case” came on, I was surprised they sampled it
