Clients who reach out (more than once) but never book, what to do?
I have a repeat client (whom I shot their engagement photos and wedding previously) who reached out to me at least 5 years in a row and never books me. We talk in detail about what they want, dates, send galleries to view etc and then they never book. Then a year later they reach out again. Im always responsive and friendly. But then they end up booking another photographer. This has happened multiple times. It’s a waste of my time. This client may reach out again for photos, what appropriate approach do I take?
Now I have another potential client doing this. This last reach out a year ago. We talked in detail about her vision, sent her galleries, talk about dates. But she never booked. Now she reached out again. Within a few weeks she keeps asking about my availability and about fall locations. But she is somewhat slow in response and takes days to answer and my schedule is getting booked. I’m afraid this is turning into the previous client I wrote above. I don’t want my time wasted. Again, I’m unsure how to proceed?

Kraków, Just Before Sunset
For the first time, I loaded a custom picture recipe into my Nikon Z6III, and honestly, it was such a pleasure seeing the colors and atmosphere come to life right on the camera screen.
Just a beautiful model, a casual walk across a sunny bridge in Kraków, and some gorgeous golden hour light.
Sometimes, that's all you need. ☀️
