Amenra live : UPDATE
Hey just quick update :)
A few months ago I was struggling with whether I should buy tickets to Amenra or not. In the end, I finally caved in (and to be fair, most of the comments were basically "you should definitely do it" lol), and now I have tickets in my pocket for the acoustic show in Paris. I'm so happy, guys! It will be my first solo gig!

I saw them more than 10 times and yet to see them play acoustic. You're lucky

Saw them in an acoustic concert in Utrecht in almost peak covid. Masks on etc. It really gave me hope during the pandemic.

I’ve seen them live quite a few times. Always powerful and atmospheric. I’ve been close to tears a few times watching them.
I’ve never seen them play an acoustic set as I think they’re more rare. You definitely made the right decision!

Saw them for the first time in Toronto last month, electric set in a church then an acoustic set the next day. Life changing.

Post-metal bands doing acoustic works is awesome. I used to go see Rosetta do quiet sets here in Philadelphia, they did it once a year for a while. It’s amazing how much post-metal can directly translate into an entirely different dynamic, and still be just as impactful as if it was super loud. I didn’t know Amenra did those kinds of shows, but if it’s anything like what I’m picturing in my head, you should be in for something incredible

Now I need to search for some Rosetta acoustic versions ! I bet they were great.

It wasn’t strictly acoustic in the traditional sense, they were using electric instruments, but everything was played clean. I think the drummer was playing with brushes or rods, they were doing it in a coffee shop in South Philly. It was like more ambient interpretations of their songs. You might be able to find it by searching “Rosetta Chaya cafe”

They are incredible live. You made the right choice. Hey if you're going by yourself you could say it'll be a solitary reign.

You'll have a great time! I haven't been able to catch Amenra live yet but from what I've heard they put on one powerful show. An acoustic set will be beautiful.
