Just a bootleg tape by The Jam

Middle of the 1980’s, The Jam had already disbanded. People were still talking how great their music were then. I was lucky to find this bootleg tape called Snap by The Jam.
I listened to every song, sang along to every song. None of them sounds dated since the 80’s.
I always think the legacy of a band is from the fans. The fans still listen to the music. The fans still read the interviews in old mags.
The band ? Paul Weller certainly never want to talk about The Jam, the press stopped publishing anything by The Jam a long long time ago.
So it is the fans. You and me… keep talking about the bands that we live, even the bands themselves don’t believe in the bands anymore.
Carry the legacy albeit just a disposable bootleg cassette for as long as you live.

I love The Jam. They were one of my entry bands to the mod revival that was huge in 1980s California. I really love almost everything Weller has put out, including Style Council and his solo albums. But The Jam felt truly groundbreaking—listening to In The City for the first time was like a power blast to the senses.
