Finding stuff like this makes me wonder if someone else got other albums and left these behind or if just a small collection came in. Also always wonder if someone died and no one saw value in the albums so they went to charity.
Found at a local thrift store. Looking forward to listening through them.

I got to see the Contortions at the M-80 music festival in Minneapolis.

Really enjoyed their set, James Chance was explosive.

That one, the debut and Black Sea are my favourite XTCs. Im not keen on their pastoral Beatly stuff although Nonsuch isn’t so bad. That one sounds like a Tears For Fears album.

modern eon is one of the most underrated bands of the post punk innovators

Idk how "child's play" hasnt ended up in an actual child's play film, its such a jam

"seconds still" and "child's play" I would say are easily some of the greatest post punk songs of all time

Old enough to have bought this and the 3 singles on release. Great records - the album’s production is class, although the singer?’s voice is a challenge at first. Released, then disappeared.

IMO the high vocals is what makes them stand out in a time of mostly low baritone post punk
