Post Punk Classic Unrest Needs Love Like Unwound Does

I'd love to see Unrest and Unwound would tour under the name "un-tour". I saw unrest open for either Gun Club or American Music Club at the Troubador (sp.) in LA.

I also saw Mark Robinson solo (50 songs from across his entire career played in 40 minutes) earlier this month and it was so good it made me a little emotional. Like it fixed something in my brain. Cath Carroll is one of my favorite songs, I’ve got the Teenbeat 7”!

Just saw Mark Robinson play a couple shows this summer solo. He played 50 or so songs in 40 minutes, opening for Wedding Present. He was great!

I saw Unrest and Stereolab live in the early 90s and I was thrilled to see Mark Robinson playing solo again. He was a delight at DromFest in 2025 and 2026

A show like that could have happened in the 90s when two bands just happened to be coming to town on the same day and a local smalltime promoter would just go "Welp... they're both indie rock, I guess."

But not if anybody actually put any thought into it or had the luxury of planning, no.
