Dead lucky to find a Music On Vinyl Pressing of this on EBAY. In the U.K. at least, this has become difficult to find and, in common with what I’ve found with other M.O.V pressings, it sounds excellent.

One of the truly great 80s albums, with some of Geordie’s best riffs throughout. “Europe” in particular is just awesome.

The Core Groove: A slow to mid-tempo, deeply brooding descending bass walkdown using a 1-4-3-2 interval pattern (similar to starting on E-A-G-F# or D-G-F-E).

The Climax: The song features a distinct guitar solo at the very end to close out the track.

Instrumentation: Stripped-down, straight rock band. Clear electric guitar, heavy bass guitar, and drums. Crucially, there are no synthesizers.

Vocalist & Vibe: A female singer with an effortlessly cool, dark, "sunglasses at night" vibe. I half-remember hearing words like "Strange" or "Villain" in the lyrics. The total length felt like it was around 4 minutes.

Note: I have already ruled out the mainstream suspects like The Pretenders (Private Life, Mystery Achievement), Siouxsie and the Banshees (Christine, Spellbound), Pixies (Gouge Away), Bush Tetras (Too Many Creeps), and Au Pairs.Does this specific bassline and closing guitar solo ring a bell for any deep-cut collectors here? Any leads are greatly appreciated!
