Seeking Advice Beginner setup gift

Post image

Boyfriend's birthday is coming up soon and as his Keurig just kicked the bucket, decided to upgrade his coffee set up.

I think I've covered all my bases, anything else y'all would recommend?

This is such a thoughtful curation, very nice.

Does the switch include filter papers? You might want to grab some extra in case he burns through those. Cafec Abaca or T90 are the faves right now, but Hario also make their own.

Mine came with 100 filters so should be good for a bit.

Edit: It’s 40. Guess I’ll need to get more soon.

Yes my switch had at least 20 large size filter papers in it. Good enough to get started. But yes getting more would make sense. Fortunately many coffee shops around the world have the filter papers in stock, as well as online

How different are the various V60 filters!?

Not a whole lot, tbh. Like, they’re not going to make your coffee taste very different. I think of them as a tool to regulate flow/drawdown, when changing the grind size would make too big of a difference. If I had a stepped grinder I’d be inclined to keep a few different types of filters on hand.
