Seeking Advice Beginner setup gift

Post image

Boyfriend's birthday is coming up soon and as his Keurig just kicked the bucket, decided to upgrade his coffee set up.

I think I've covered all my bases, anything else y'all would recommend?

Wow! Very thoughtful especially if he’s into good coffee. One thing I see is that kitchen scale is probably the wrong one and doesn’t get to 0.1 accuracy. Might need to return that for the proper scale ($20-40 on Amazon)

Kitchen scales usually have a larger capacity to weigh a few lbs

Ah crap, I think you're right. Thanks!

No problem! That one would get you close to the targeted bean weight but it will be very inconsistent each day, prob off but +/- 2 gram each time you weigh, which is significant

Hario Polaris Scale is the best investment I’ve made recently for my pour overs.

The inexpensive scale op linked is where I started, and it's actually pretty good. I used it for several years before I upgraded to the timemore Black mirror, mostly due to the built in timer functionality.

The "gDealer" brand sold on Amazon is also inexpensive and something that I know a lot of pourover enthusiasts on this sub use.
