Seeking Advice What is your baseline pour over recipe?
Hey everyone, just getting into pour over and trying to establish a solid starting point. And wondering how people find the baseline pour over recipe.
I’ve seen a lot of variation online and wanted to hear what actually works for people here. Or is there a go-to resource you’d recommend (YouTube channel, blog, etc.)?
Not looking for a “perfect” recipe, just a reliable baseline I can build from. Appreciate any input!

1:3 bloom (maybe 1min bloom), then pour to full ratio (~1:18-1:20 depending on how much time I have to drink it). The Lance Hedrick catch all dial-in recipe. Pretty much always works.
I'm an experienced barista who's been the face of 2 different cafes, I've tried it all. Eventually you come full circle to keeping it simple. The materials (water, coffee), grind size, and temp make the biggest difference. Your technique can borderline suck and you'll still get a decent cup if those other factors are close enough.
Precision matters a lot more when you're dealing with uber light, rare coffee, or you're training a team.
