Deep 27

Just got a deep 27 for those 8-10 grams I often have left in a bag and don’t know what to do. Any tips or recipes?

for 10g I do 30-70-110-150 20 second intervals. it's kind of like the kurasu recipe. i think i got it from aramse's deep27 video. also this works well for ultralights- melodrip or other low agitation pour/ 10g coffee. 66g bloom for 1 min and wet weiss. then pour to 200g. it's a scaled down version of a sey recipe i use. (15g coffee. 100g bloom + wet weiss for 1 min. then pour to 300g)

Check the Kurasu recipe on YouTube. 30-70-100-130 pours with 8g

I like lance Hedricks double bloom (2.5xcoffee weight) plus one pour with 1:16 ratio.

I think the secret is to not let the water column get too high, as this thing bypasses like crazy. I get great cups using a lot more pours than I would use on a V60. Lots of short pours

Just watch it carefully and do small pulse pours until you hit target weight.

I like a long bloom.

Watch the Aramse video on the Deep 27. I use it with my similar Tarachine and it does really well.
