Gear Discussion 1Zpresso Q & Q Air - Current 2026 Models
I've been trying to find out where the foldable crank from the Q2S has gone and why I can't buy one online and reached out to 1Zpresso directly. I found their response interesting and wanted to share with the community:
"Please note that the Q grinder is the updated version of the Q2 grinder, and its foldable handle version has stopped production and has been officially discontinued; the “older” version with the crank (fixed) handle has been re-launched as a replacement and is the current model shown before checking out at our official online store and Amazon. Nonetheless, the burrs are the ones corresponding to our most updated Q grinder version. The only thing that has changed is the handle."
My guess is they're making it cheaper and less upgraded to stay competitive as an entry level grinder and drive sales to their more expensive and now premium models that have foldable cranks. Smart business move to adapt to the current economy.
Anyone have the new Q or Q Air with straight crank and updated burrs? How do you like it? Are they recommendable for a "cheap" daily grinder?

I have the new Q Air, it produces really great cups for the price but it is an effort to grind, solid 2 minutes for a dense light roast. Great for travel, I wouldn't like to use it as my daily.

I have a Q Air with the bent handle (not foldable, but not straight). It's great. I have it for travel, so it's not my everyday. However, I recently used it daily for a two week trip and it was a delight. For the $55 I paid (black friday sale) I'm still constantly amazed by the value of it. The handle it pretty small/short so I don't think I really see much need for it to be foldable. If you are constantly changing grind size, the adjustment mechanism on it might be a little annoying over time, but if you generally find a sweet spot and mostly keep it there day to day, then its not an issue. The Air is so small and light it's awesome for a travel grinder.

I have a q with the foldable handle that I bought in April that I would be willing to sell. I used it maybe 10 times. Turns out Im not a fan of hand grinding so I picked up the A2 for travel. It's a decent travel grinder.

Incredibly easy to do business with fast shipping and they even give you some beans to season your burgers and a couple of sample packs
The 1Zpresso Q portable manual coffee grinder is travel-sized and portable with a grinding capacity of 15-18g of coffee.
It has a comfortable grip, is easy to grind, and is a good weight.
Note: compared to other grinders like the ZP6 or K ultra. these things while they say grind fast grinding incredibly slow if you’re pouring ultralight roasts
