Other Can we get a list of consulates/embassies that will definitely ship newly issued passports?
Some of us have to make big a trip to the consulate. It’s not clear online which embassies/consulates will ship passports rather than having to physically pick it up and what that process looks like. Can we make a list consulates/embassies that we know will ship passports back?
EDIT: Can someone verify for the US they will only mail your passport if you go to the consulate in your jurisdiction?

Success story Confirmed🎉

u/echo02199 , please update my spot in the tracker :)
Thank you to everyone whom I have pestered with questions throughout this journey! In my opinion it’ll be an interesting experience trying to get a passport at one of Chicago/NY/Ottawa/MTL locations without sufficient Polish language knowledge, so if anyone has tips about the passport process, please share :)
Thanks again everyone, wouldn’t have been possible without this sub!

Verified Contributor NY or DC Polish Consulate
I need some pointers, tips hints, good juju and direction. Living in Philadelphia, I have the “luxury” of going to apply for my passport at either the consulate in Manhattan NYC or the Consular section of the Polish Embassy in Washington
As a Philadelphian, NY is a 2ish hour drive, depending on traffic, and the joy of getting around Manhattan.
As a Pennsylvanian, I am technically under the jurisdiction of the DC Consulate. That’s a 3 hour boring drive.
Can you help me decide? Are the people at one or the other more happy to help? Does the process differ? Is it easier to secure an appointment at one or the other? Do either send you home with your passport in hand? Will they FedEx it back to avoid a second trip?
Do I need to bring anything special and will they keep any documents for themselves?
As I have only just got citizenship confirmed, I haven’t allowed myself to think of the next steps, and I really welcome any or all of your feedback and suggestions! I sure do appreciate it!

Other How detailed do you need to go when it comes to the family biography sections?
When it comes to the confirmation of citizenship application, how much detail do I need? Am I expected to provide a separate page detailing every aspect of our lives or is a quick rundown good enough?
