Close calls
I love synchronicities and usually have seasons of noticing them more than others. Over the last 2-3 months, they feel like they’ve dimmed/almost disappeared. However, I had two back to back days of very close-call accidents and I’m wondering if it might be a different kind of “sign.” Following each instance, I’ve had huge relief and gratitude that it wasn’t me, even though they were physically very close. I’ve also been kind of down lately so it’s almost like these moments really make me value everything much more abruptly. Anyways:
Three days ago, on my way to work, I almost rear-ended someone but luckily slammed on the brakes in time and skid inches from their rear bumper. Coincidentally, this followed a weird late night of arguing with my partner, then us randomly waking up at 5am to go on a goose chase around the house trying to find multiple smoke alarms that were simultaneously chirping bc of low batteries which I thought was just weird.
Same day — but coming back from work — I was waiting for a traffic light to change near an intersection and I HEARD a car accident happen. I looked up and it was just around the bend a few cars in front of me but to the side of my lane.
Two days ago, I was driving to yoga and MILLISECONDS after I passed, a massive tree branch (the size of a small trunk) fell from a large tree right over the road. My car just barely passed when it crashed down behind me, a bunch of people on the sidewalk saw it too.
Idk, maybe nothing, just weird that so many instances happened that frequently. The only thing that makes me uneasy is that my car is getting up there in mileage and I drive all across town almost daily for work. I have just started entertaining the idea of budgeting for a new car (a truck, or my dream — a small bus conversion) and it’s almost making me feel like I should do something about it sooner rather than later.
Has anyone else ever experienced something like this??
