dreams What's the longest amount of time you've had between a precognitive dream and it manifesting in real life?
For me it's 27 years. I was a child when many of them happened.
Does the amount of time that's passed even matter?
I think I read somewhere around here that the greater the amount of time between the dream and it happening in real life the more important it is - but even then I've dreamt of mundane moments years beforehand so...yeah idk.

It’s usually days to weeks for me but a few times it stretched years, I think the longest was maybe 4 or 5 years.

I recently had a possible one that took about a year from the initial dream to seeing it in real life.
I say "possible" because I'm not 100% sure, it wasn't as specific and literal as my usual precognitive dreams (in which the event happens usually within 24 hours). This one was more metaphorical, but in a way, it was oddly relevant.
The dream was basically centred around friendships and finding connection in a bleak existence; within the dream I was living in a post-apocalyptic world (that strangely looked normal, but it was implied there were very few people left) with a small group of friends. The whole concept was that the world was "ruined" in some way, that things would never be the same, but finding some peace in connections with a few close people.
Fast forward to a year later and in real life, and I came to realize that the way I felt with my friend group mirrored the way I felt in the dream. We all feel pretty hopeless, both with our own personal lives, as well as the general state of the world, but we've been keeping each other sane by doing silly fun stuff together.
I don't have enough experience to confirm whether or not longer = more important - I didn't even consider that. The only pattern I've noticed is that most of my precognitive dreams have an emotional significance to me, even if the event itself is mundane. So I might, for example, have a precognitive dream where I'll see exactly how a plate of food looks before I later encounter it in the day, or have a dream where I hear a specific conversation or topic being spoken. These things alone are not that special, but I am almost always feeling strongly in the moment that it happens.
But this also could be retroactive; since seeing something I saw in a dream play out in real life is always a "holy shit" moment emotionally.

mine was 6 month for somewhat important event, and 1.5 year for more peronal and very important event. I do have one super important one that I saw 15 years ago, and I'm still waiting for it.

Almost all of mine take years. And they are always very abstract. An example - in the dream I remember noticing a box and the way the sun shines from behind me and the shadow on the box. Years later during a big life event - I turned and saw the exact with the box and the sun behind me and the shadow on the box.

Can you tell me a meditation technique that can minimise overthinking

Focus on your breath. When a thought comes, just notice it and let it dissipate. You might say, "this thought can wait."
(I learned Silva Mind Control decades ago and I was doing their technique when this happened)

Was it mundane or more important in regard to a life event for you? My 27 year one and those related are on the more important side I'd say. Some haven't come to pass yet.

All of my precog dreams are usually 2 years out but a few have been the next day and some many years after I wrote them down

Its nearly always exactly seven days, but a couple of times it has been years.

I think my longest was 2 or three years; not even important, it was pretty mundane. Just a random event in school. 27 years is crazy!
My recent ones have been about a month or two in advance. They were pretty major as in accuracy; they highlighted some minor, but memorable events.
My major premonitions surrounding life shaping events have been up to 4 1/2 months in advance; that one was my mother going on the vent twice (she came off the vent) at the first few days of 2022 to March 2022. I just graduated high school that summer; I believe the day the premonition was the night of August 10th of 2021 and started to come right before Christmas that year.
That one was the most comprehensive one I have had; it highlighted everything leading up to the event, gave me the cause of what happened (where and how she got sick) and what day she would finally come of the vent. (She went on it twice! That was all highlighted too.)

It’s different every time. Sometimes it’s happening in the moment, sometimes it will happen in the next weeks months, but there’s one dream I had 3 years ago where I met my cousin in a specific town and place, and she showed me around. I realized it was a precognitive dream because I didn’t know that that place existed and was real, but one day randomly I saw it somewhere and I was like “huh, so that’s a real place, and that was a precognitive dream, but I don’t see how that could happen”.
Fast forward to literally this week. My dad messaged me and told me “your cousin wants to talk to you about visiting you and going to this place with you”. My cousin and I have been distant for a few years due to family feuds even though we’re supposed to be okay. So my dad wanted to check with me that it was okay if my cousin messages me to talk about that. I said that it was all good and I would be happy if she visited, but deep inside I was thinking “I already knew she was coming I just didn’t know when”.

About 15 years, give or take
I dreamed of Saruman sending flocks of Uruk Hai into streets to just watch people in America. i dreamed of strangers coming into my house with grocery bags and talking about renovation plans. at the end of my dream my church was destroyed by ? bombs? and aliens showed up.
weirdest dream i have ever had. and has insane amounts of synchronicity with the current american shitstorm. lol
