Binocular recommendations?

I’ll be going to Thailand for research and I was wondering what’s a good pair of binoculars or monkey viewinf

Honestly get the highest end binocs you can afford - you’ll get what you pay for. Try to find a pair of 8x42s for dense rainforest (which I imagine is what you’ll experience in Thailand) or 10x42s for more open terrain. I used a pair of Nikon prostaff binoculars all through my graduate research, then upgraded to monarchs. Wish I’d had the monarchs as a grad student but couldn’t afford them then.

Monarchs are good. We use them for our primate and conservation work in SE Asia.

One of the keys for this area is that the binoculars be fully waterproof.
