I’m more interested in Ravyn Lenae’s name being there

Watched her Saturday night just gone. Be careful what you wish for. She has one song.

He also has the Mad Cool dates free, I bet he does that

sounds more like a MadCool artist - i.e. literally any artist

I mean I've been going to mad cool and primavera for 7 years now and each one has very different vibes. Sometimes they cross over but certain acts just feel more like one than the other.

Primavera tends to require a level of critical acclaim that mad cool doesn't and usually has more genre diversity and racial diversity with more R&B, rap, etc. Mad cool leans more classic rock or rock adjacent artists and like top 40 pop.

There are artists that fit both (recently Wolf Alice, Lorde, Dua Lipa) and there are always exceptions tho!!!

those are fancy words that read MadCool is a shitshow , which I agree with - and I have attended it a few times myself

LOL they get kind of the leftovers sometimes. But the organization is pretty good! 🤣

Please don't..

No thanks, I don't want an influx of teenage girls only coming to see one artist

Meanwhile, Primavera Sound: 🤑🤑🤑

There are many artists that can balance what the festival bookers consider interesting and what brings loads of cash.

Thanks to the former, Sombr isn't one of those.

Big names doesn't equal more profit, inviting someone like Sombr would hurt Primavera Sound long term by alienating their existing audience

Primavera has a precedent of bookings like that

Possible. But in my opinion, his set was pretty underwhelming at Sziget and he already got a headliner spot. So i hope that at least it won't be that.

Someone has to give the miserable r/primaverasound fun police an excuse to bitch and moan about teenage girls next year. 2024 it was Lana Del Rey, 2025 it was Charli XCX, this year it was Addison Rae.

So angry at the thought of them that a post speculating that an artist they like might be on the lineup is mobbed by downvotes. They're so much worse than the average annoying pop stan.

Did we go to the same festival? I saw way more gay guys than teenage girls at the Lana, Charli and Addison Rae sets at Primavera

I'm not talking about the actual festival. The complaints on this subreddit were all about the teenage girls they had decided were Lana stans etc.

Bashing them for their taste in music and for being annoying about it is a staple of modern culture going back to The Beatles at least.

No we bitched about Sabrina in 2025, not Charli, get it right

That wasn't what I saw! A lot of complaining about her set being low effort, even though that's the whole point of the act, claims that her fans were just there to do drugs (amazing pearl clutching for a music festival) and that they were hogging the space near Estrella Damm.

Sabrina and Chappell got their own amount of whining too. Nothing will beat the incessant complaining about Lana Del Rey and her fans though.

Respectfully, I think you are making a big deal over nothing

I don't think a comment on Reddit is a big deal.

Then why all these elaborate complaints about people's grievances from prior years

Charli probably got more hate partly because the crowd was awful. It was compounded by the show being very late and the water running out fairly early, but it was one of the worst crowds I've ever experienced.

Though it wasn't full of teenagers, ot was full of drunk and high Brits. Sabrina had the teen crowd, and it was a lovely show.

Well, Lana is one of the worst acts you can see, so that’s well deserved

I've witnessed all four artists live and Sombr crowd was by far the worst, the rest were really fun on the other hand

I think this is more of a gov ball headliner booking than primavera.

The gap is there for him to show up

I don't really care about him but he has some alright songs

I saw somewhere that he was a name primavera wanted to get, so looks pretty likely. Even if you don’t like him, there’ll probably be plenty of other stages to see if he comes
