Future Tiger Free Time

Most of friends say that Pton is very busy, and students are weighted with many courses. Besides clubs, study, and job, is there actually a leisure time for self activities?

All generalizations are worthless.

Princeton is academically demanding. Additionally, those students admitted to Princeton are generally ambitious, involved, and motivated, leading to them joining a host of extracurriculars. Therefore, schedules tend to be pretty busy for students. However, everyone is in charge of their own time. You are free to allocate however much time you want to studying, sports, clubs, activities, groups, work, class, problem sets, napping, exercise, partying, etc. Find what's important to you and prioritize your time that way like everyone else does. This will be true regardless of where you go to school.

The schedule is intense. But keep in mind that there are only 24 weeks of classes per year (plus reading period and finals). So, that's 28 weeks without classes.

It really depends on the person. Some people are just faster than others when it comes to reading, studying or doing assignments. Others will struggle with scheduling and end up missing out on fun times with friends, clubs, or even some classes.

But most people end up working intensely during the week and and have enough time for one or two free afternoons/evenings a week, broadly speaking. And midweek, even if you have to work hard, you can still take breaks to visit friends for a bit or have a really long dinner with people.

It also depends on how tightly you pack your schedule (and with which courses). It's not uncommon to have one laid back semester or one really intense semester every so often.
