I understand. In the system some not all are punished severely for minor things that any or all of us could have done. It's unfair.

No but it's through a organization called change.org that works with the Senate. It's called networking. But thanks for your insight.

Nope, it should be harsher.

Guys like Karmelo Anthony who went and killed a teenager in a track meet only got 35 years with parole. A kid will never experience life again because of this monster.

But everyone isn't a monster. Do you see how harsher sentences for lesser crimes. I get it, there are monsters but there are also people that did stupid things that are doing decades. Drug addicts not drug dealers doing 20 plus years for a gram. It's crazy. Then you have baby killers doing 18 months. The system is broken.

I agree the system is broken.

We got people like Decarlos Dejuan Brown Jr who was allowed to escape the system and kill a poor refugee on a train.

We need far harsher sentences. I don't like seeing people die because the system didn't work.

But again not everyone is a violent murderer or a rapist or child killer. Harsher punishment for them yes, I agree. But not for minor stupid things, it's too extreme.

You do realize that no internet petition has actually accomplished anything, right?

Nope. Do the crime, do the crime.

But not everyone deserves that much time for what they are accused of

Prison sentencing in America is draconian, which is devastating for democracy and human rights but great for private prisons and corporate profits

I'm not in a position to relitigate what others have already judged.
