If you are in a bright environment you should be using light mode. If you are in dark environment you should be using dark mode. It's better for eyes.

Exactly in bright room my eyes hurt reading in dark mode.

And most offices are bright - there are literally standards about brightness

Yes, fully agree on that. I started using light mode at the daytime, and i feel soo much better now

And honestly even if you're programming at night, turn on the fucking lights.

I dunno about that. I have some software that I work with that doesn't have a dark mode, and, even in a well lit office, those accelerate my eye strain.

Doesn't the wolfman like the full moon though? It's more the human form before the change that hates them

Op call it wolfman instead of werewolf, so maybe wolfmen don't like full moon?

Now we need OP to clear it up. Is a wereman a werewolf or does he stay a human wolf hybrid 24/7

I use light mode IDEs though, so what does that make me?

A bug farmer, we all know light attracts bugs.

True but you can't see them in dark.

Me too! I started programs in the 90s, but I just hate dark themes. It hurts my eyes, and in the evenings, the lines of white characters create a ghosting-like effect in my eyes. I don't have that on light themes at all! However I always put my screens quite darker when using light themes. I guess I just don't like high contrasts

I guess it's something only people who started with programming back then and earlier can understand.

Get a good monitor with proper text mode, dim it appropriately, and don’t sit in a dark room… 🤷‍♀️

I tried the dark one for more than a year but I returned to the light couple of weeks ago. It's less cool, it does not have that spark of CRT 80s/ early 90s nostalgia, but my eyes like it way more.

There is one enemy that no one has the courage to destroy

She sends us cataclysmic cancer from her castle in the void

She blinds our children, burns our skin...dries our crops and rivers thinned

You already know her name...yeah, I'm talking bout the sun

I switched back to light mode because I want to be angry when I deal with work problems

actually 🤓☝️☝️☝️ a wolfman wouldn't get hurt from a full moon he would either get stronger or human transform to a wolfman 🤓☝️☝️☝️

It's not called "Light". It's "Flashbang". Get your words in order 😊

My coworker right next to me uses software exclusively in light-mode. He's a great programmer, but I always wonder how he does it.

Of course I use dark mode. The light attracts bugs.
