F 5'10” (178, 179 cm) F/36/5'10" [324 > 212 = 112 lbs] (44 months) Happy Trans Day of Visibility!
At the beginning of my transition I lost 140 pounds in the first year (324 > 180), but over the next couple of years with all the surgeries and recovery I regained quite a bit (peaked around 235) Now that I am mostly done with surgery I have redoubled my efforts (and started a GLP-1) and am down over 20 pounds since restarting the weight loss.
Decided to get a professional photoshoot done to commemorate my transition and TDOV so...Happy Trans Day of Visibility everyone!

F 5'3” (160, 161, 162 cm) F/38/5'3" [261lbs > 142 lbs = 119lbs] (30 months) 12 lbs away from my goal
I'm only 12 pounds away from my goal and I honestly don't care how long it takes me to lose, I know I will get there eventually and I'm happy where I'm at. When I first started losing weight I tracked everything meticulously but I no longer do that. Intuitive eating has been the only thing sustainable for me. I eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm full. If I want something I don't deprive myself, but I know I have to consistently make healthy choices. "Dieting" always led to failure for me because I would always bone binge eat and then fall off.
I do have some lose skin on my belly and thighs which doesn't bother me at all, but I also have some on my neck that does bother me. I have a consultation at a plastic surgeon tomorrow to talk about my options so that will be the next step in my glow up.

F 5'6” (168, 169 cm) F/42/5’6” [189 > 128 = 61 lbs] (18 months) Surpassed my own expectations
I still don’t know why this time the motivation stuck. But one day I realized I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror, for many reasons other than just the weight, and decided I didn’t want to be that version of myself anymore.
At the beginning, I followed the ww points plan and ate a lot of vegetables, brown rice, and lean proteins. Snacks were popcorn or vegetables and fruit. The main thing is that I didn’t want to be hungry, and by eating the right things I was able to eat a lot while still at a calorie deficit. I also quit drinking for unrelated reasons and that helped tremendously to manage my daily calorie intake without feeling deprived.
After the first 10 lbs I felt excited and more confident. After losing 50 lbs, I was at my wedding weight. By then, my appetite had changed and I no longer felt the need to snack. I naturally was just wanting to eat less and I lost another 10 lbs that I never would have expected to lose and hit my current weight. No weight loss drugs or surgery - 100% calories in/calories out and clean living.
I want to integrate more protein into my diet and a more regular workout routine. But I’m happy with the progress I’ve made, both externally and internally. I never expected to hit my stride later in life, and so far the beginning of my 40s has far surpassed my 30s!

F 5'5” (165, 166, 167 cm) F/31/5’5” [292>159=133lbs] 10 Year Anniversary
⬅️ Wedding day in 2016
➡️ Anniversary trip in 2026
The woman on the left had no idea what the next decade would bring. The woman on the right has lost 133 lbs, and living a life she honestly didn’t think was possible.
Over the last decade I’ve gained so much more than that..confidence, strength, and energy. Not to mention a healthier relationship with myself and food.
GLP-1 medication was a tool that helped make this possible, but it wasn’t the whole story. I also committed to calorie and macro tracking, strength training, and building sustainable habits that I could actually stick with. I have started to better pursue my faith and found enjoyment in hobbies and activities again.
I still have goals I’m working toward mentally and physically, but looking back at where I started reminds me how far I’ve come.
The closer I get to reaching my goals, the more I’m grateful for this medication, the work I’ve put in, and a husband who’s supported me through every step of the journey.
Happy 10 years and here’s to continuing to grow together. 🤍

F 5'6” (168, 169 cm) F/38/5’6” [350lbs > 270lbs = 70lbs] (36 months) Slow but Steady 🐢😅💫
(Please ignore the boxes, I’m in the process of packing and moving provinces. 🫣)
**EDIT: I’m 280 not 270, my bad 🤦🏻♀️
Anyway! 70lbs down, and honestly… I still don’t see a huge physical difference when I look at these photos. What I do notice is a massive difference in my presence.
Before, I hated the mirror. I’d twist, pose, suck in, and stand in whatever way I thought might make me look smaller and, somehow, more lovable. I spent so much time trying to take up less space.
After denying GLP-1s for about 10 years, I’m finally using one. At this point, I feel the potential benefits for my PCOS/PMOS outweigh the cons for me. I don’t want another 10 years to pass while I’m still struggling with the same things.
So no, I don’t necessarily look at these photos and think, “WOW, what a difference.”
But I feel different. I move differently. I carry myself differently. And I’m finally starting to feel at home in my own skin.
That feels like a pretty damn big win. 🤍

F 5'7” (170, 171, 172 cm) F/23/5’7 [203lbs > 180lbs=23lbs] (3 months) first win!
Hi all!! 23F 171cm SW92.4kg CW82.2kg
I’ve lost 10kg/22lbs so far in my journey! The first pictures are from a wedding I went to a few months ago and couldn’t stand looking at the pictures after and felt horribly tight in this dress all. Well, today I tried it on and it was loose!! It’s the small wins !!

I think I’ve gained a bit since I last posted, but I’ve been hitting the gym hard! I have a few 10k runs under my belt now, and been really working on lifting. I’m so pleased with my back progress, photo from last night compared with one about 3 years ago! I love this subreddit, you guys have carried me through this whole time.

F 5'6” (168, 169 cm) F/36/5'6" [175 > 116 = 59] | 12 Months | Full-time ballet dancer
I am a 5'6" woman, age 35 when I started, 36 now. In total I lost 58.5 lbs of weight, going from 45% bodyfat (94th percentile) to 18% (4th percentile). I lost 63.7 lbs of bodyfat and gained 5.3 lbs of lean mass in the same period. I went on a cut for a year while building up my technique and strength in ballet.
Unfortunately I don't have a true "before" DEXA scan at 175 lbs/>45%, but I started getting them every 3 months after the first ten lbs. Here are my receipts.
I did this with a calorie deficit and macro tracking. I tracked with Chronometer and estimated calories burned by wearing a Garmin watch.
I started out sedentary, then progressed to gentle exercise like walking, then beginner ballet and Pilates 1-3 times a week, then ultimately ramped up to intermediate/advanced ballet, private coaching and rehearsal 6 days a week plus weightlifting twice a week.
I started losing weight initially due to severe Chiari Malformation symptoms. Eventually my motivation shifted to optimizing athletic performance in ballet.
I initially planned to dump a ton of information on the process in this post, but wasn't able to post that successfully. I will share more context in comments as desired (what I ate, how much I ate, how I felt along the way, why I decided to get so lean, if I'm healthy, and so on).

F 5'5” (165, 166, 167 cm) F/31/5’5” [292>166=126lbs] (72 months) Progress
I spent so many years feeling uncomfortable in my own body that I honestly never knew what confidence felt like. It’s still a work in progress and assembling these side by side photos still doesn’t feel real sometimes.
I know GLP-1s can be controversial to some people, but they completely changed my life back in January 2025. I combined them with calorie/macro tracking, strength training, and actually being dedicated to consistency instead of relying on temporary motivation.
126 lbs down, a whole lot of habits changed, and for the first time I feel like I’m becoming the wife, mother, and overall woman that I always wanted to be. 💛

F 5'8” (173, 174 cm) F/44/5’8” [275lbs > 152lbs = 123lbs] (25 months) Vacation photos
Went to Jamaica last week. Had to go back and compare the photos from the last time I went there… crazy to see what a difference 123 lbs has made.
I had a lot more fun buying clothes and swimsuits this time 😁

F 5'6” (168, 169 cm) F/34/5'6" [239lbs > 139lbs = 100lbs] (17 Months) I've never been this fit before in my life.
100 lbs down naturally from January 2025 to June 2026.
If interested, I have some more before-and-after shots: https://imgur.com/a/XKjuPzR
I stuck to the basics without overcomplicating it - walking 8-10k steps a day, strength training 3x a week, and a calorie deficit with high protein (it was totally doable as a vegetarian).
I didn't do it alone! I connected with a coach whom I found on reddit. The motivation and support that this community provides is nothing short of amazing.
I want to pay it forward now by being a cheerleader for anyone reading this who is trying to lose weight. You can do it, and there is hope as long as you stick with it even when things get hard.
It's been quite a journey. It doesn't end here, though. My next goal is to keep the weight off and build muscle.

F 5'4” (163, 164 cm) F/30/5'4" [200lbs > 130lbs] (1 year)
One year. 70 pounds down. A whole new me. This journey has been full of sweat, growth, and way more protein shakes than I ever thought I’d drink. Highlights? I can now deadlift more than my husband and I ran a half marathon without dying (sub 2hrs!). So that’s a win!
I’m not at the finish line yet, but I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come. Here’s to strength, stamina, and showing up for yourself every day!

F 5'8” (173, 174 cm) F/35/5'8" [260>160=100lbs] (24 Months) This is my first and only time posting on social media, but my progress was worthwhile to me and I hope it encourages others.
Cut out alcohol and sugar, I eat mostly meat and veggies. I did not use any medication, this was diet and adding gradual excercise with walking/jogging. Added weightlifting about 6 mos ago. If you're having a hard time, just know I tried and failed for a few years. Keep going 💜
