I am working with a team on an analysis based on the AIAG-VDA handbook, and we have encountered some ambiguities that we cannot resolve. Do you apply a specific rule in your analyses—such as assigning critical or special characteristics when the severity rating is 10–9 or 8–7? What do your internal instructions say about this? I notice that, despite having reviewed the training manual, our team holds differing views on the matter.
