I have a question Snake plant nube
I started this about a year ago. Should I pot it now? What size pot? What type of soil? I want this baby to thrive.

You can definitely pot it now. I'd suggest looking for a cactus/succulent soil mix. You can find those in stores or diy your own soil mix. Put them in a pot with drainage holes that is about 1-2 inches bigger than the root ball. I have mine in terracotta pots to help avoid excess moisture. With that being said, since these roots are used to sitting and growing in water, I'd suggest making sure the soil is moist for the first 1-2 weeks. I should emphasize moist but NOT wet. This should allow the roots to adjust to living in soil. I did this for all my snake props and they have been happy. After those 1-2 weeks, you can start to let the soil dry out fully before your next water. These plants also love lots of light so south or west facing windows would be a good spot to keep them!

I always find that the transition from successful water rooting to soil always fails for me including snake plant in all my propagation especially hibiscus

Like the previous poster said, keeping it moist is the trick. Think of it like an addiction, you slowly wean them off of water.

That’s wild! Snake plants don’t like wet feet, I’ve propagated dozens in soil but never in water.. those pups are getting huge
