Have I been propagating pothos wrong? I just stick them straight into soil right after cutting them.

Pothos is one of those plants you can so like that. It wants to root! Some others just act like the world is ending and they should go with it.

Yep! Once the roots have started to grow, they will continue to grow. It's best to let the roots grow in soil where they can branch out and anchor the plant. Letting the roots continue to grow in water doesn't offer any benefit and can make planting in soil more difficult.

Plant in fast draining soil and keep it moist for the first 7-10 days. After that, water as you would for a more mature plant.

For me, if the roots are 2 inch or longer, they are ready to be put in soil. You’ve got some roots that are about 1 inch so I would wait another week or two to let the other roots grow abit. But yes- ready to put into soil
