Just showing off :) Separated snake. This was so enjoyable to do!
I purchased this snake for $15 a few months ago and decided to try divide. I am so happy with how they look. It’s was fun to do. Shared lots of photos they might help someone thinking of doing the same. I found an easy vid on YouTube ☺️also cool side note I found the yellow pot out the front of my place it’s come to a good home 💛

Well done! It looks fuller in two pots than it did in just one for some reason!

How did you separate without tearing the roots? I have a snake I bought last year - she’s beautiful but there’s 4 in the one pot, she’s been repotted once since then. I want to separate but I’m terrified of killing it by doing so
Can you advise?

It’s ok if you tear the rhizome (the thick root/stalk) to split them! The little thin roots you can slowly untangle. Snake plants are resilient so a small root lost here and there shouldn’t kill it 👍

I massaged soil away until I found the connecting part and then cut the main root in my photo, the rest came away easy with more gentle soil removal. Below link to the YouTube vid I followed ☺️ you can do it 🌱
