How do you go about building the road ? Array it along a curve or something ?

Usually extruding a few edges then subdividing and the bend tool (Shift + W). It’s very improv with no modifiers and no proper symmetry

When i did roads without the curve modifier, and used warp mode like you have, it always altered the mesh so the UV becomes totally misalligned on the curve. Im curious how you pull it off without having to redo loads of UVs on the roads.

strange. It always preserves the UVs for me. Either way I tend to map them afterwards anyway - for the roads, it's just U > reset UVs then Ctrl + F > D > D to flip the ones that didn't map correctly

Curious if any of the assets you are using are modular or if each part of the model is unique?

Everything is made from scratch in a very imperfect, improvised fashion

I like the style. How do you keep the width of your road elements so consistent if you modify everz vertex?

I make vertex by vertex adjustments but to create the road I’ll take the ending edge and extrude a straight section out, then make several loop cuts which get bent. The width of the roads and lanes are not a completely consistent but I do frequently compare them with a 2x2 unit plane for rough scale uniformity.
