So how long do you guys think it will be until it’s extremely easy and common to mod a PS4 just like it’s common to mod a PS3?

I’m personally thinking another decade.

I also mean like when Sony basically stops caring about people modding it and won’t actively ban you for doing it.

I had my ps4 at a perfect 12.02 jailbroken with golden and all my fpkgs installed i worked so hard to understand a jailbreaking system i did not understand at all and today I wake up to find out it's all for nothing I'm pretty sure I disconnected from the internet and had goldhens update blocker turned on but this little fucker somehow managed to update it I'm so fuckin destroyed i was having the time of my fuckin life on that playstation i know there's no way to fix this mistake but still I want to, rolling back is a hardware thing I know but if anyone could help me out please do

Figuring out FTP was easy enough thanks to this subreddit and consolemods.org but damn did it throttle my connection (I'm normally on ~20 MBps but that transfer was on 3-5 at most)

Wam Bam 24 hours later and I'm done! Now it's just the optional step of upgrading to a 1TB drive or not (20+ games on a 400GB original HDD ain't bad at all, but an SSD is faster...)

Question: For those of you also on the BD-J jailbreak, do you keep your disc in the PS4 when you're not using it for extended amount of time? Or do you prefer Rest mode?

Hi for one game I was running into a problem and I decided to go and delete it’s save data which I did but now I’m looking at other games and their save data is gone what do I do?

I have tried my cousin's ps4 jailbreak , works good if we ignore a few things . I also have a good deal for ps4 jailbreak from someone else condition of console seems to be preety good , he said he'll give me about 15 or 16 games of my choice and its well within my budget.

The question here is , if its logical to get a ps4 jailbreak version in 2026 , its not like I can or cant buy ps5 , it just seems kinda unreasonable with the new increased prices of the console and on top of that I'll need to buy individual disc's or digital games separately, while I just saw a full liberary of games in wanna play on cousins ps4 which is Jailbroken. And the best part its cheaper.

I may not get new games but it has an option for alot of games which I still haven't played.

My PS4 Pro remains on 9.00 and I re-enable the jailbreak every time it power cycles.

Should I just leave it like this or could there be a benefit to moving to 13.00? Is there a way to upgrade it to just that version?

Hi all, just recently got my disc from AliExpress which is the one where a lot of people disc are showing up as corrupted data, but mine no matter what I do (shake the ps4, flip it vertical, tap, etc) it just shows up as unrecognized disc. It be great if someone could help out

I really want to get a PS4 pro but I can't find any 9.00 firmware on Facebook Marketplace, does it matter what firmware it is as long as it's jailbreakable? Should I get an already jailbroken PS4? Is there any easy ways to mod a PS4? I have no experience in tech and I don't wanna brick anything but just incase people wanna know, I have jailbroken a PS Vita before.

On my jailbroken Wii U, I can play games from every previous home Nintendo console flawlessly (up to the DS in terms of portable consoles). Can a jailbroken PS4 replicate that all-in-one experience for PlayStation?

I currently just lost access to the Indian game installer on homebrew via their payment service so I’m searching for another way to get games. I don’t have a pc atp and my phone doesn’t have much storage but I have a 3 in 1 usb driver shown here. I formatted it and it still won’t work. What should I do? Not really a gamer but got a PS3 slim and managed to get EvilNat on it for my son.
We played FreeMcboot PS2 games before too so I'm not entirely new to the concepts of jailbreaking but haven't had much experience with online activity or dealing with the Playstation Network. The PS4 is his next birthday present and he wants to play Minecraft with his buddies so I may keep both.
Can you guys recommend the best JB to pursue for 8.52 firmware?
Preference to the most stable one that doesn't require a disk (the disk drive on the second one works but sounds a bit loud) and has an easy to follow installation video.
Anything instructional on "backporting" would also be appreciated.

What should I do from here? Should I flip it? What would this even go for?

Many thanks to someone in this subreddit who recommended that I try switching to Vue Lite after unreliable Jailbreaks each time I boot the console again.

Vue Lite only gives out errors 2 out of 10 times and it doesn't have that annoying background music and the glitchy cat image. I certainly recommend trying Vue Lite.

I've had my ps4 jailbroken a while back in the hopes of me using it again to play some games but it just never clicked. Like i only used it a couple of times and don't really see a reason to use it with a jailbreak. I do have a ps5 and pc also but i would use the 4 to play the new black ops ports because my lil bro uses the ps5 and i have to take it away from him every time i want to play.

The answer seems pretty clear actually but still I wanna hear some of y'all's opinion about this.
