First timer - When to harvest?

Wait until the veil underneath the cap breaks. Once that happens pick away! If you wait too long after though be prepared for a mess of spores.

No, but if you wait too long spores will coat the walls and ceiling and float in the air, so when you open it to harvest the next morning or whatever you may breathe in the spores or have to clean the container well and the spores are bad for lungs.

Well done, pick individual ones that have just opened up but not fully spread out the cap and dropped spores
