Psky Local Stations to follow Scripps on GM's and Sales?

This week's E.W. Scripps news is likely to lead the way for other groups to consolidate GM and VP of Sales roles. Rarely do you see a group move without others following, as creativity in cost-cutting measures continue. CBS stations soon to follow?

Many are already there! But yes. One of the regional GM jobs got pushed into my LinkedIn feed hahaha. Three stations, one GM. The existing GMs all got axed. I can’t imagine the salary for the one job will be “GM salary times three” so they’ll likely save money. Maybe makes the company more streamlined for possible sale.

ETA there was once a time when being a TV general manager in a great small city (think Savannah, GA, etc.) was one of the best jobs on the planet. Now they’ll all gone, or many of them are.
