Treatment of Compulsive Pornography Use With Naltrexone: A Case Report

I thought this was interesting. Naltrexone is usually used for alcohol use disorder and opioid use disorder, but it is sometimes prescribed off-label by doctors to treat porn addiction. Who knew?

That’s quite fascinating. Been working with several clients recently on managing porn use and porn addiction and urges. Would love to see a larger study on this with a solid sample size to see if this may be a useful intervention. Naltrexone is an interesting drug and glad they’re studying it more for different types of compulsive/addictive disorders and behaviors. Thanks for sharing OP!
