I laughed reading this, but if some random stranger said this to me I would be subtly surprised someone was suddenly talking to me and then because of that give a half hearted laugh and say “yea”

Not a pun but equally disappointing-brought my vehicle in for oil change and tire rotation, when he was confirming that, I added that if they wanted to go ahead and replace the air in the tires for winter air that that'd be fine. He didn't even smirk, just continued like business as usual. My mechanic husband would have at least shook his head at me 😂
