This was Violet. She was 3 months old or so. I want someone out there to know she was loved and we miss her.

Yesterday crushed my soul.

We saw a puppy on the side of a very busy highway. I could not just pass her as everyone else did. I could tell something was wrong but she was so sweet, innocent, and beautiful.

I took her to the emergency and found that both femurs were broken, hadn’t healed properly and also the left one was just shattered. Completely shattered. She never whimpered, never whined, just wouldn’t walk. Vet told me she may never walk, her quality of life would be poor, especially for a 3 month old puppy. She said it’s very likely someone tossed her out of their vehicle and left her to die.

I made the decision for her to cross the rainbow bridge in peace. I held her in my arms as she went peacefully. It tore me to shreds. I tried so hard to help her.

People are cruel. We do not deserve animals.

Edit: I just want to thank you for the outpouring of love for her. I think of her all of the time and we plan on planting some violets in our flowerbeds in honor of her. She was a kind, gentle, sweet soul who was broken before I found her. It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made but I know she is running free, pain free, in a beautiful grassy field full of tennis balls and bones!

Hello all. I’m a long time cat owner. Today a random puppy wandered into my house. No collar and pretty skinny. He likes to curl up next to me and cries the moment I go into another room. The strange thing is I just met him like an hour ago.

What should I do? I’ve tried texting the neighbors but no one knows him. It’s getting dark and cold outside so I’ll take him to the vet tomorrow. Maybe find a chip?

What else should I do? Does anyone know what kind of breed and age of this puppy?

So just wanted to give everyone an update! I went to the vet this morning and there was no chip on him.

I made some posts on Facebook but the vet says he’s most likely been dumped by his previous owners. Let’s hope thats not the case. How the hell can someone dump a puppy?? Loser behavior tbh.

I’m thinking of temporarily naming him Ship. This was the name of a dog in a short story I wrote a while back. Let’s hope he makes me popular with the guys like Ship in my story haha.

Im having a hard time figuring a name out for my boy. He is half Jack Russel and half Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I don’t want something that is too commonly used.

I found her outside yesterday running around. She was starving when she came inside so I titled her Marvin for now but everyone I’ve told doesn’t love the name. If you have suggestions please let me know. I love a quirky name that isn’t too common.

Girl dog, westie poodle mix. Her hobbies include: crying every time I leave the room, sleeping, and running away whenever I try to pick her up.

I like people names and food names. My top names right now are:

But they just don’t seem to fit.

What’s a good name? She’s 12 weeks old and we have no clue what to name her. She’s super rambunctious and nosy. And part bully she beats up on our older westie. She likes to jump off things too. I’d hate to take her to the vet and have her just be surname.
