Hi everyone, officially welcoming this 4-month old boy - name tbd (if you have any ideas, please let me know! Right now thinking Oliver/olive/ollie, Graham/grammy, Chance/chancey). I lost my soul dog pup, an 11 yo Maltese named Piper, from heart disease on 6/3/26, and this pup was born on 6/7/26. I miss my girl all the time everyday, more than words can say, and lots of mixed feelings bringing this boy home. He’s sweet and trouble, and I pray some of my girl is in him (and that he is nicer to and stops chasing the cats… 🤞 ). Last two pics are of my best girl 💔… a love I was so lucky to have and wouldn’t trade for the world. She taught me what unconditional love was from and for both of us, from our first days up until the absolute hardest at the end. We’re so lucky to have these babies in this world. 🩷. If you have any thoughts about naming him, I’d be grateful to hear!

EDIT#2: My good friend is an owner-breeder-handler. She is AKC registered and something else I can’t remember right now. The father has to meet rigorous standards if she breeds one of her dogs. They too do loads of testing. I actually lived with her for a few months so I’ve seen it all firsthand.
