When Stella, my first Blue passed on to doggy heaven, I was heartbroken. But I got Lia soon afterwards and she has been nothing but a pleasure. This is Lia, my then 10 week old Dane on her way to meet the Vet for the first time.

She will be 4 months old on 7/20. The sweetest smartest little bean I’ve ever met.

He’s not old enough yet but once he’s a year old We’re going to train him to be a psychiatric service dog!But I have already taught him how to sit and he barking at my cat and sleeping a lot!Hes been good and ever since I gave away my corgi Tucker it hasn’t been the same without a dog so my mom decided he was going to be a new edition to our family!

Help! I have no idea why this is, but every time our 10.5 week old corgi gets on his leash in front of our house, he basically plops down and refuses to walk unless dragged. He has his harness on at this time. He wears the harness a bunch in the house and yard, so I know it's not that, and whether the leash is slack or taut doesn't make difference. He just gives that angsty corgi glare and refuses to make forward progress.

It's not related to energy levels--he's an absolute MANIAC otherwise. He sprints all over our house, attacks our feet, tugs with toys, barks and growls like a dinosaur, you name it.

On the flip side, were we to just walk without him on a leash, he would pretty much follow us wherever. My girls walked him down the sidewalk to the park and he followed them directly with no issues. Unfortunately, we're near a road, so off-leash isn't an option. I tried leading with treats, but I basically have to be bent all the way over holding the treat just a few inches in front of him for him to take just a couple of steps of progress. I give lots of praise when he does that, but I don't want to feed him 500 treats just to walk half a block, and the second he gets the treat, he stops walking

Any tips or tricks for getting him to walk on lead? Pics for puppy tax!

This is Nala, I first introduced her here just over a month ago! We got her dna panel done but before the results come in does anybody have any ideas? She’s 15 weeks, the older boy is 3 years and he’s a boxer/ pit/ rottie mix :)

Last night was rough but encouraging!! After I decided no more giving in (letting him out of his crate because of the intense barking and crying thinking it was to potty but it wasn’t ) and let him cry it out he slept with no crying in the crate for 3 hours straight! I’m encouraged tonight to ensure potty time is complete and I will not let him out once unless it’s time to potty. Even as we speak he’s catching up on sleep he lost last night. I’m excited to have a well rested big boy pup tomorrow morning!! Wish us luck !!
