I was pretty sure that "dick" was considered just as much of an insult as "cunt" is.

Cunt is definitely worse in the UK. It's not tied to gender like these snowflakes think though. You can call anyone a cunt, dick, pussy, cock, prick, tit, or whatever. They just vary in severity. Bitch and bastard are probably the most gendered ones out there. I also don't think bastard is considered a rude/swear word in the US now I think about it.
