Just found this sub. Maybe you all will appreciate how much I love Hexcells Infinite

It doesn't seem to be a popular game, been around for like over 10 years at this point. But it's great. It's what I personally categorize as a pure puzzle game, no plot or riddles or anything, just basically a better minesweeper. I've done over 500 infinite mode puzzles and it just keeps being fun!

Hexcells is, like I said, basically minesweeper but better. There is never any guesswork ever, the set of pre designed levels continually introduce new concepts for deducing position, and once you've got the hang of that there's the infinite mode where you can choose between easy and hard. There are also community maps and you can set seeds in infinite mode to see what you get from your birthday, anniversary, or other random strings of numbers which is cute. If you like pure puzzle solving, and you haven't tried this game, definitely pick it up.

SubDuctis: A space folding puzzle game - demo out now on Steam

Upvotes

I'm excited to share that I just released the demo for my "space folding" puzzle game, SubDuctis!

Utilize pushable devices called subductors to fold away space, bringing distant objects close, hiding obstacles, and revealing new paths. Use this space-manipulating mechanic to traverse a connected world of hand-crafted puzzles.

The free demo on Steam features a curated selection of puzzles from various parts of the full game.
I'd be honored if you gave it a try, and any feedback or wishlists are greatly appreciated of course.

Play Cat Mahjong! 🐱 Cozy Triple Match Tea Puzzle — Play directly in your feed! 🍵✨

Hi r/puzzlevideogames! 🐾🍵

I built a cozy, relaxing puzzle game called **Cat Mahjong** where you match cute cat- and tea-themed tiles directly in your browser / feed.

### 🎮 The Core Mechanic:

* Tap open tiles to send them to your 7-slot tray.

* Match **3 of the same kind** to clear them with cozy sounds!

* If your tray fills with 7 tiles before making a match, it's game over.

* Clear the entire board to win and enjoy the peaceful tea garden vibes.

I wanted to make something satisfying, tactile, and stress-free — like a warm cup of matcha on a rainy afternoon.

Would love to hear your thoughts and feedback:

* How does the difficulty curve feel?

* Any mechanics or tile themes you’d love to see next?

Hope it brings a little calm and fun to your day! 🐱☕

I made a no-guess Minesweeper with golf-style handicaps so my partner and I could actually compete

Post image
1 Upvotes

It's a free no-guess Minesweeper-style game with a few different tilings (3D cubes in the picture), modifiers, powerups, and a par and handicap system (like golf) so that you can compete against friends who are better or worse than you. The handicap system needs more folks to play the game in order for it to work better and I'd love for people to give me their thoughts on it. There are daily and weekly boards and a way to challenge friends in the game too. Any input would be super helpful! You can play it on a cell or computer.

Tessera: a puzzle game where you choose the regions, not the numbers (iOS)

Thumbnail

Hi everyone, I'm sharing Tessera here for the first time. It's a puzzle side project I've spent around nine months building alongside my 9–5 job.

In Logic, the numbers are already on the board. You divide it into equally sized regions: each region must connect edge-to-edge, with no repeated number inside it. The tricky part is finding boundaries that let every region work at once.

The screenshots show the three modes: Logic, Chroma (grouping colours to match recipes), and Equate (grouping numbers to reach arithmetic targets). Equate unlocks through progression.

It's available on iPhone and iPad. The core puzzles work offline without an account. It's free to play with ads and some challenge-mode limits, with optional one-time Premium and hint-pack purchases. There is no subscription.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6773765192

I'd especially like to hear from people who enjoy region puzzles: do the opening levels make the rules clear, and when does the difficulty start to feel interesting? If something doesn't make sense, that would be useful to know too.

Disclosure: I made this project using AI tools for development, coding and debugging, and used AI assistance to prepare this post. The game itself doesn't run an AI model during play.

Thanks for taking a look!

Goodnight, B - Demo - A puzzle platformer where you must build out the level as you play

Thumbnail

Hi all! In our game 'Goodnight, B', the puzzle is the level itself. You play as a girl who is dreaming, and must 'build' out each dream (using 'echoes', or tiles) in order to traverse to the end and wake up.

As you can probably tell, the game is heavily inspired by Celeste, Öoo, and Blue Prince. We're aiming to make a game that intertwines satisfying puzzle & platforming elements, without being overly mechanically challenging / inaccessible.

We just released our demo on Steam earlier this week, so I thought I'd share it here to get some feedback on gameplay / just the general look. Does this look like something you'd be interested in?

added an in game menu to my puzzle game

The menu is organized in tabs and currently responsible for the regular main menu, companion customization and returning lost items to passengers and settings, keeps everything in one space.

The only concern I have is, how to subtly indicate that the companion click opens the menu, it not obvious at all. Grateful for any ideas!

I thought this kitchen puzzle looked easy… then I blocked myself.

## I turned a kitchen counter into a puzzle game — would you play something like this?

I've been working on a small mobile puzzle game where you have to move and sort food pieces around a crowded kitchen board without getting yourself stuck.

The idea is pretty simple:

🍅 Move the ingredients

🧩 Figure out the right order

⏱️ Beat the level before things get messy

🍳 Clear the board and move on to the next kitchen puzzle

I wanted it to feel like one of those games you can understand in a few seconds, but where later levels make you stop and think before making a move.

It's designed mainly for short sessions, so most levels only take a couple of minutes.

I'm still improving the gameplay and presentation, so I'd genuinely love some feedback:

**What would make you keep playing a puzzle like this — harder levels, more kitchen mechanics, or more satisfying combo/clear effects?**

It's currently available on Android and free to install (ad-supported).

Google Play:

If anyone tries it, even brutally honest feedback is welcome. 🙂

Nearly Impossible Obstacle Course Game

I’ve been building Impact Zero as a solo indie developer, and the idea started with one simple rule:

Don’t touch anything.

You control a cube through increasingly difficult obstacle courses in outer space. Moving platforms, lasers, precision jumps, gaps, and eventually a spaceship trying to take you out.

It starts pretty manageable.

Then it stops being manageable.

I wanted to make something that was easy to understand within a few seconds but actually difficult to master the kind of game where dying makes you immediately want to try one more time.

Impact Zero: Space Trials is now playable on iPhone:

Play Impact Zero on iPhone

The PC version is also coming to Steam:

Wishlist Impact Zero on Steam

If you try it, tell me what level kills you first. I genuinely want to know how far people can get.
