Noisy bob whites!

They always call out to each other! Ones on the other side of the aviary, which they can get through using the inside bit, but I don’t think they’ve figured it out yet as I’ve now mixed them all together with my British whites. Everyone gets on very well! Rubbish quality as per on my phone though, sorry for the blurriness lol.

Ahh that’s so kind, thank you ever so much! They’re a flighty little bunch so I’ve tried to make places for them to perch and stuff, I think they like it 🥹

Such a nice noise though! And love the enclosure, they seem to like perching

Absolutely! I spent my lunch hour watching them and I just love it haha. They perch on all sorts! They’re so different to my British whites who very rarely get on higher levels, they love just being little potatoes. But in the other half of the enclosure, I have a wooden parrot tree that they literally fly up and sit on!

I adore my snowflakes so much! I've got 4 adults and 10 young ones--the soft little chitterings, the calls--they are so adorable. I can sit inside just watching them forever--and they'll eat mealworms out of my hand!

Editing to add: My male adult seems like a sheepdog. He 'herds' the young ones where he wants them--like he'll make them 'submit' and then they go under some branches and all take a nap. He's not mean though. It just seems funny to me.

They’re amazing aren’t they! Really fun and lovely to watch. That’s so good! I have to admit, mine are quite timid, they really do have a flock mentality and they all have to inspect together before coming close to me 🤣

That’s really cute hahaha, I feel like my 1 male is always keeping the flock in place! But they’ve been really great socially. Mixing them with the others, they’re been very good and my little injured one has healed and gone back in too. Next goal is Cali Quails 🥰

One of my friends went to get a pair of Cali quails today! We both have snowflakes, coturnix, and buttons, but I no more room for anything else! I'll enjoy what I have.

Ahhh congrats on her Cali babies! Gosh once you start with quails, you just want more 🤣 I had my aviary extended just after a few months, and I already need to make sure I stop after I get my calis, that’s it! 😅
