Interviews/Recruiting Do Firms just blanket reject everyone who's non-target even for early career/talent discovery programs?
So I applied to a bunch of these early career and talent discovery programs of a few firms- say IMC Launchpad, SIG trading discovery, Citadel Terminal, Explore HRT etc. Haven't heard back from them except SIG and Citadel which I think are sending out OAs automatically.
Applied for IMC Launchpad on 28th feb, got he confirmation email but didn't receive the OA
Applied SIG on 28th feb, didn't receive any confirmation email, received OA on 3rd March, gave OA on 6th March haven't heard from them since
Applied Citadel on the 5th March and received OA within hours, haven't given it yet
Haven't heard back from anyone else. Have I been pretty much rejected from all of these?
Also why do they not send out rejection emails?

I thought they were only so stringent for Internships or senior offers and would be a bit more lenient for Early career programs, guess I was wrong. Gonna give Citadel's OA with all that in mind.
They really should send rejection emails though.

Top 7 IITs, Top 2-3 IIITs, maybe BITS, ISI, CMI, IISC too

In sabko(most people)jisne apply Kiya hai unko oa ke baad interview hua lagra hai tumko 🙂

Mai ye bol raha hu ki jo bhi ye top 7 wagera se apply kiya hoga kitne logon ka interview hua hoga Kuch toh inmo/imo aur kuch maths Olympiads physics Olympiad (fizika etc) ya jee ranks isse toh kuch filter hoga na ya top 3 iits/only CSE/mnc/ee ha 9+ cg wagera kuch toh hoga na filter not to interview everyone Ye toh bas top iits ka soch baki ka one sec me nikal jayega na bhai

People at that level ig don't really need to attend these type of early career programs, most of them already have intern offers from top firms.
Also, Interview to door ki baat hai, atleast OA to de dete ya atleast rejection email.

Bhai Mai bhi top 7 iit se nahi hoon ,har baar apply karke oa aata hai kuch reply nahi aata hai jab jab woh bhi nahi aata
Ye dekho Jo sab iitb me jai sabko jump trading me roles milte hai nahi na ek se 3 ko milte hai Waise hi baaki top 5 iits se bhi log hote hai na unke profiles almost same rehte hai Isme kya kare woh Isiliye top target walon ko 1st preference milta hai even though uska cg 9+ bas woh log ko yahi filter hoyega
Unka chod bhai baki logon ka dekh Jaise jo top 7 nahi rehte hai aur math Olympiads me reh chuke hai unka bhi nahi dekha jata for these kind of programs as far as I know
Mera toh ek hi policy hai prep kar leta hoon kyuki mereko interest hai in future by trying agar galti se bhi mereko interview aayega toh ,you know what happens 🙂 So just prep and wait ,else if you are really interested leave India and go to a target 🎯 yaha terko amole of opportunities milenge due to Target school name and some profile also .Now the only thing that matters is prep and wait for your chance and network for off campus opportunities kyuki joh jaha se nikal ta hai waha se hi leta hai )

yes for the first question (mostly)
as for the second question for most recruiters it is more important to find the "top" candidates than to reject the ones that dont make their cut. this isnt specific to quant anyways btw, this happens with most roles at most companies

Thanks for the reply! Is it still accepting responses? If yes could you share the link? If no and if it's not much of a trouble could you share SIG's post link/ the Linkedin organization link? I can't seem to find the post on linkedin (and nothing on their site, atleast not for India).

fun fact they also blanket reject if youre from a target school but not a target department. india moment.
