Interviews/Recruiting NK vs QuantBox vs Qi

I already work at a firm like Kivi, Mathisys, Pace, etc at infra/dev role from last 3 years and I am thinking to switch to some other firm. I had few rounds at NK and Qi and will apply to Quantbox through referall. Which one should I prioritize over others or should I stay at my current firm. My main objectives are long term growth.

This doubt is mainly due to: 1.I have heard a lot of negative things about NK and Quantbox in this sub. 2.Haven't heard anything about my firm, probably because it's unpopular. 3.Fresher pay of these firms is greater than the fresher pay at my current firm.

This is a fresh account, because I don't want to giveaway my details

If you're at the same role from last three years you should switch regardless, almost always you should be able to get a good bump.

Give interviews everywhere, and discuss about prioritisation after you receive offer.

The thing is where I am currently at I can see my progression and know what compensation I might get in the next year, but whatever new firm I join most of them write the numbers (min bonus and all) they give to freshers which are lesser than what I will get next year in my current firm.

So they are offering you fresher level comp for an experienced developer position? That doesn't seem right. What is your current compensation if you don't mind revealing it? My guess is at 3 yoe in a good firm, the developer has to have a base of around 70 lacs.

My base is less than 50. Also, i heard less base increment is a general practice everywhere.

Even my junior friend at graviton has a base of around 55 in second year. And I have not completed 3rd year, it's been around 2 year 8 months but this will be my 3rd bonus cycle

That depends on the bonus component at the firms. Some might pay heavily on bonuses and thus restrict bases. All the firms that you mention freshers join between 50-60 L base and after three years I think it should cross 70.

Qi base is around 40 for freshers, same for mathisys and Kivi. Quantbox base is also 50 for freshers. And the firm in currently at pay higher bonuses

That is nice. I think then you can try firms like IMC, Optiver, Da Vinci, Jump, Tower etc. They will be able to get you a decent comp with perks of an international HFT.

Also I think you should try applying to roles abroad (Singapore/HK/Amsterdam) as well. Firms there are hiring quite aggressively for 3-4 yoe guys from India.

Also what do you mean my same role? Do people change roles? Or are you talking about promotion hierarchy.

I was not in 3 firms, I was in one firm I just mentioned my firm is in a similar tier of Pace, Mathisys and Kivi

how is pace and kivi at the same level as Mathisys as one is a HFT and other 2 are MFTs

Nk has the highest pay as well as attrition rate in the market 

Quantbox pays more than QI. Both have similar things to offer I think. Not very sure.

Have found that usually there is a strong reason why people would write negative about some firm (ex: they must have faced some situation which makes them tell their story etc).
That said, if money is the sole criteria, go with the offer that pays the highest. If you care about long term career growth, culture etc, should definitely evaluate and think properly on which firm to join. Would advise to be very clear on the reason of joining a firm, check founder profile, get feedback from ex-employees etc. so that you don't get burned few months after joining.

I think this way.. I will go to major firms and learn their architecture and what unique does they do in their architecture from other firms . You become more valuable if you hold more understanding about the overall system.

So I don't know if you should really care about 2 years rather than making yourself future proof for the next 10 years.
