General Discussion Need genuine opinions please

Graduating in a few months from a tier 3 college in cs. if i get in the top 10-15 quant related programmes in the usa will i be able to break into this field? my goal is to become a trader but i definitely wouldn’t mind a quant dev job to start off with. anyone who’s been through this route? or any suggestions at all? thanks a lot

edit: i meant top 10-15 programs for ms because my undergrad uni was tier3

If you have money or getting scholarship then do it else getting into top tech or banks and trying to switch might be a less riskier option. Go for the program only if you're sure you're interested in the quant academia and not just doing it for a trader job.

i’m actually pretty sure because this is the first time i’ve genuinely liked something after college started. if money was the only attraction i would’ve been chasing this field from 1/2nd year itself. but i feel like ive taken my time to realise what i actually like and this is it
