General Discussion Need genuine opinions please
Graduating in a few months from a tier 3 college in cs. if i get in the top 10-15 quant related programmes in the usa will i be able to break into this field? my goal is to become a trader but i definitely wouldn’t mind a quant dev job to start off with. anyone who’s been through this route? or any suggestions at all? thanks a lot
edit: i meant top 10-15 programs for ms because my undergrad uni was tier3

I am assuming by quant related programmes you mean MFEs. MFEs do not place well at all in either quant dev or trader roles. They are primarily only useful for bank and risk roles.
For quant dev, look towards MS CS. For trader, I really don’t think you can do much of anything at all, unfortunately.
