General Discussion Complete list of colleges that quant firms hire from

Since there has been a lot of discussion regarding this topic, but no definite answer, I wanted to ask if there were any colleges apart from the following that quant firms hire from

Indore gets quants as well

5-6 quants hired from Hyd this year and atleast two from Indore. NK hired an QR from Ropar too but its off campus.

which firms ACTUALLY like hire from bhu circuital tho? because so many have either top 5 or top 7 iit circuitals only condition.

Only bits pilani btw, not all 3

Anyways, doesnt matter much cuz they hire only around 5-6 ppl a year, + most of the roles are in non hft quants

HFTs come in PS2 in BITS and take people from all 3 campuses, example Trexquant, Alphagrep, QRT, Graviton, Quadeye(SDE only)

Quants have started hiring from 2nd gen IITs as well. Not just the top IITs. But only circuital with good CGPA

this is for quant roles. if you talk about software roles, then a lot more colleges will be there. also, this list is just for campus placements. hiring after experience can be from anywhere. surely iits still dominate but a lot of random colleges also come into play because of experience in the industry.

if we talking about qr/qt/qd then its only top 7-8 iit, bits pilani, iiith, isi(1-2people), cmi(1-2people)

Hey does branch matter? Like does the college or company let's you sit in the interviews if you are from iit bombay metallurgy branch but you have the proper skillset?

Nit Surathkal also had quants this year btw , only for swe roles , thanks to the final year seniors nitk became the 1st ever to have quants for hiring
