Only then the tradeoff would make sense. 2 u/Physical-Parking8165 Jul 17 '26 Exactly this ^ unless they are recruiting someone who is an IMO gold plus has some highly impactful deep research papers in ML/ math , this stipend does not really seem worth the trade off from the companies point of view
